Flag of Congo Brazzaville

Flag of Congo Brazzaville

Congo Brazzaville is located in Africa.

The official ISO 3166 code for Congo Brazzaville is:

cg

Facts about the flag:
The flag of the Republic of the Congo was already adopted on November 20th, 1959, with the proportions 2:3.

The flag is green and red, with a yellow stripe stretching diagonally from the lower inner edge to the upper outer edge. It uses the Pan-African colors, similar to many other African flags.

The flag was the fifth national flag to be adopted with Pan-African colors. The main difference between this flag and other African flags, is the diagonal yellow stripe, which is not normally featured on flags from the continent. When the old colony became a self-governing republic within the French colonial empire, the flag was adopted as a national flag for the first time.
