Facts about the flag:
The flag of Guinea is a tricolor with the colors red, yellow and green.

The red is placed at the far left, with yellow in the middle and green to the right. The colors are pan-African and were used by the freedom movement until independence was achieved in 1958.

The independence movement used the colors from the flag of Ghana, which was adopted in 1957. The colors symbolize what the country stands for and what they want to achieve.

The red symbolizes the victims from the battle of independence, as well as work. The yellow stands for the color of the African sun, shared equally, and also represents justice. The green stands for agriculture and its riches, but it especially stands for those who struggle and, therefore, also means solidarity.
