Flag of Kazakhstan

Flag of Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is located in Asia.

The official ISO 3166 code for Kazakhstan is:

kz

Facts about the flag:
The Kazakhstan flag was not adopted as a national flag until June 4th, 1992, appearing at the time with a red center. However, the colors of the current flag are practically the same as in the previous version.

The flag is light blue with an eagle and a sun in the upper section, and at the inner edge, there is a band with a complex pattern. The blue color of the flag is Turkish by tradition and represents the sky.

The eagle is a steppe eagle, a powerful symbol previously used by Djingis Khan. The sun with its 32 rays, together with the eagle, symbolizes love, freedom and the pursuit of the people. The complex, golden pattern represents the culture of Kazakhstan.
